General Comments

Norwich Union Direct Car Insurance review - whilst moving a car in a lay by a few inches a car pulled into the space in front breaking the side light and knocking the metal inwards a claims investigator took all the details and said it was obviously not our fault and that the case would probably end up in court phoned every few weeks always speaking to a different person and was reassured it would take time to go to court. 10 MONTHS LATER i contacted them for update was told they were going to overturn claims investigators findings at this point i found out that they had lost or misplaced our signed statements and photographic evidence i asked them on what basis they were making such an informed decision! they then said that they thought accident our fault and that they were going to settle first told we were going to be 1% blame then 50% blame then full blame then they stated that we admitted we had not seen the other driver which was a lie. they totally disregarded the fact that the highway code states that you should not pull in front of someone who is manoeuvring or overtake a car on a one way road in fact i wish we had been claiming against them as they do a good job of settling for the other side i have been in touch with the ombudman but although they can investigate any failing on the part of norwich union they cannot overturn any decisions i wish i could afford to take this to court but am too much of a chicken as i cannot afford to lose any money.
