Strong Motor.
Starter malfunctioned and engine started up backwards destroying starter assembly.
The Sears chain saw is heavy, but will cut through some tough wood. Seems, when the starter assembly is operational, to be a tough machine with many hours of cutting capability.
Recommend start assembly be more repair friendly or less of a failure item.
