Good Points

OK Good points are its pretty decent at 30 ft from a target,i get 30 really awesome shots before power drop is really noticed but if you waite for a few min you get fullpower again for a few more good shots, the blow back slide is awesome just like the real PPK/S,the clip is neat but they could have intergrated the clip and co2 into a real type of clip like the cp series has much better i feel and allows warm off so tou don't waste too much gas this would allow switch of clips and you can re warm the co2...over all its an awesome gun even the sites are well set up..

Bad Points

ok bad points was the clip and co2 should have been done like the cp series this would improve realizem and also allow you to change clips and co2 while letting the other one warm up again so you don't waste so much gas.also the dealers selling these guns should have in stock at all times all extras for this guns and others alike..i am trying to get my clips for my PPK/S and am having a hard time getting them in their cheap plastic and i need more of them, i am also living in canada and it's difficult to get stuff so it seems i got my PPK/S at canadian tire and put in a request for more clips weeks ago. i have seen other models of guns and they all come with exrta clips anyhow so another bad point not enough clips and hard to get them.
a silencer would be nice.

General Comments

over all the gun is awesome, good power very realistic.has a few bad points manily lack of clips and hard to get more of them..is very good at 30 feet away.very easy to maintain.very well designed piece for a CO2 very real in appearence,a rifled barel would be a good idea brass is ok but not good for the speed..

Is your PPK a BB gun or a .177 air pistol?

  2. kmillard Rank: Major on 26th Jan 2004

    It's a .177 BB air pistol.

Hi, I am thinking of buying the PPK. I would like to know how powerful the PPK is, I know that it has the velocity of 260 feet per second. (Which is rather slow, by Beretta at 400 fps).
But I think a BB might be heavier then a pellet, in that case it would compensate for the velocity. Do you know how much a BB weights? Can you comment on the penetration power, impact?
Also the blowback feature; Does your hand move when you fire? can you feel the recoil??? Or not much

    Thanks

Hi there, yes you can feel the blow back it is very relistic to the real .38 cal gun its self also as for the 260fps its a bit more. I think the power is very nasty even at 30 feet it can cause some good damage, I have broken twigs off a tree at even greater distance with mine and I have been shooting out side this winter in up to -27 so its pretty good.. as for the BB weight I am not sure of the weight but I can tell you that pellets do weigh a lot more than a bb even in the same cal. of .177 , I have an air auto II that can fire 495 fps in Canada here and the ppk beats it hands down.. the PPK was designed to be like the real one in every way possible and is such a gun except you get more fps from a bullet then a BB of course...also feild stripping the ppk is rather easy and must be done often in order to clean and oil the gun, I also would advise you to get an extra clip for the ppk as well they're only plastic and not very expensive, I myself have ordered 3 packages and you get 3 clips per package for under 20 bucks a pack makes it faster on reloads having extras and if you mamange to break a clip you got spares.... If I can be of any other help please let me know, the ppk is an excellent choice even for a first time shooter or one who has been shooting for a long time also is recent news the walther ppk/s has been named the number one Gun by the NRA for teaching childeren and adults as well. I am also opening my own gun club here where I live and as part of it I will not only be teaching proper shooting but also safty and cleaning of bb and pellet guns and rifles, teaching archery and more. Thanks and have a great day

clips are available on line from Crosman.

BB's weigh about 5.2gr. When you couple that with a Muzzle velocity of 260fps you only have .78 fpe available. Better not be shooting anything bigger that a large cockroach. Personally I think it is a great tin can gun.

By the way, if you did have a rifled barrel, the bbs would just wear it away anyway, cheers

The take down is a charm (just like a Walther PPK). You just pull the trigger guard down and pull back the slide.
