The cinematography was good, the acting was great, the subject matter was current and relevant.
Many parts of the movie seemed to drag, this may have been intentional but it still hurt the overall timing and flow. Plenty of boring, grim dialogue.
Right At Your Door Review - For a low budget first attempt at directing, Chris Gorak who is also the writer, does ok. However, scenes go on too long and again and again there is no payoff. It gets a bit boring at times and just when you are about to give up on the film, it grabs you attention and hope. Unfortunately, it never really takes off and you are left at the end discussing your 20 or more ideas that would have made 'Right at Your Door ' a better film. You won't feel ripped off, but you won't be glad you didn't miss it either. There is a great twist at the end, but it is too little and too late to save the movie. If you like watching a husband and wife talk about dying for a couple of hours, you'll like 'Right at Your Door'. In fact, you can pick up "Open Water" with it and make an afternoon of it.
Maybe they will make a two pack of these two movies for 9.99 one day.
