Food on Way Out. Leg Room On Seats 21- 24 G & H
Entertainment Boxes Under Seats. Food on way back
MAN-ORD Return on A330 Economy
Had a fantastic flight out to Chicago, spot on time. Travelled with my father and 5 yr old daughter. Food was absolutely fantastic and the pre booked vegetarian meal and childs meal were available. The selection on the childs menu was amazing with plenty of choice even for the fussiest eater (like my daughter) in fact there was more food for children than adults! Butternut squash rissoto for veggie meal was delicious. 2 choices of meat meals for non veggies. Entertainment was great plenty of TV channels, films, music and video games to choose from. Kept my daughter occupied for the whole journey, the video games are a god send when travelling with kids. If you can manage to book your seats in advance rows 21 - 24 G & H have loads of extra leg room compared to any other seats in economy (except door exits) which was great as my father has a metal plate in his leg. Also lovely fleecy blankets and proper cloth pillows on both journeys where great.
Flight back wasn't quite so good, the food provided by the american caterers was very bland with little variety, my daughter ate nothing except a jelly and I was given a vegan meal of plain rice and veg. Breakfast was a stodgy muffin and small fruit salad. The sleep bag (toothbrush/paste) tissues and eye covers was a nice touch. Entertainment movies not so good and TV channels same as on journey out. Stewards not so friendly. Maybe because it was a night flight??
All in all though I would not hesitate to travel with BMI again, our flights included connection to Nashville and only cost £333 each!!
