Very stylish good looking TV, easy to set up and 3 x HDMI ports.
Picture quality very poor, all the family considered the picture to be blurred. Digital slightly better than analogue which was really un-watchable, HD dvd ok but not the best. Sound quality very bad, tinny and echoing, built in surround sound worse and not an option.
Samsung LE40R88BD review - After 3 days changing picture and sound settings I lost patience and returned the set to Currys for a full refund which they did without fuss; the store was great to deal with. Prior to returning the TV I called Samsung technical support, the guy admitted that sound sound quality on this model was not great but said the picture should be better than my description.
I am now looking at other makes and considering a Panasonic plasma, surprisingly not much more expensive with some online deals.
