General Comments

I stupidly swapped phone contracts after spending 5 years as a happy Vodafone direct customer, and went with Phones4U. I put up with the Ra Ra we're wonderful sales talk, and the completely unnecessary need to ask my hobbies. After a few months the phone developed a problem with the top button, I could not be bothered to report it as the Phones4U repair process is so long winded .

Later, the charger stopped charging (about 6 months later) I had to go through the process which is this:

1. Drive to your nearest Phones4U (40 miles for me)
2. Sit whilst a condescending staff member talks to me like a child
3. Send the phone back for repair and wait 14 to 28 days for it's return.
4. Have a letter saying the phone was liquid damage so it couldn't be repaired and will cost me £17.63 to get it back.

After phoning their inefficient customer services department they would not accept the issue that there were 2 problems, 6 months apart. I explained, "Just repair the button and I will put up with the charging issue".

P4U "Sorry Sir it is liquid damage"
ME "They cannot both be liquid damage as they were 6 months apart"
P4U "Sorry Sir Liquid Damage"
ME "I want to speak to a manager"
P4U "Sorry you cannot, I can deal with your call"
ME "You can't I need to talk to somebody else"
P4U "You can't"

It turned into a reciprocal conversation which was essentially a repeat of the above with me getting irritated.

You get the general gist.

Anyway, go with somebody that is efficient as a company without the diabolically poor customer services and condescending staff.

Do yourself a favour and go with somebody other than Phones 4U If possible I would give them a minus rating but suffice with zero
