Bass and treble custom settings reset on turning the dock off and on
I got this iPod dock for Christmas '07 along shortly after getting my 4Gb iPod Nano (3rd Generation). And they go together perfectly.
The first thing you will notice when you unbox the dock is that it contains everything you need (so no extra purchases). It includes the Power Supply, USB Cable and some rubber placers to ensure a good fit for all sizes of iPod or MP3 Player.
Prehaps the best thing that sets this dock apart from all the other docks is the user controllability of the bass and treble settings. It's a simple setup using the remote with Bass and Treble up and down buttons.
Another nice feature of this dock is with a cable (which you can buy separately for cheap) can connect your dock with your television or laptop through the headphone jack to the line in on the dock, so you can experience the sound quality with more than just your ipod.
A good point of the remote with the system is that is it blissfully simple, with an on/off button, volume control, track skipping, play/pause and bass/treble adjustment. No un-necessary buttons.
You can also synchronize iPod nano and above from this dock to your iTunes as well as charging your iPod while listening, as opposed to plugging your iPod in via USB cable to charge.
The only problem I found with this dock is that if you turn the dock off and on again you lose any custom setting you've done with the bass and treble, but since the setup is so easy to use anyway, it's not hard to set it up again - in fact it takes seconds.
