“This book is good for children who have never drawn...”

Good Points
Pictures are pretty and the instructions are very simple.

Bad Points
A lot. Do not buy if you're an actual aspiring manga artist over the age of eight. See below.

General Comments
This book is good for children who have never drawn manga before...But that's about it. Her style is terrible.

Coope doesn't mention a single word about the details of the eye and her eyes in general were bad. The hair looked unnatural and very spikey. Who seriously draws blush on their character all the time? All the noses were pitifully small, which would work for cute or child characters, but even adults had tiny noses. The instructions for the body are very hard to follow. I couldn't draw a single thing after using her book. The anatomy was perhaps the worst.

For those of you that say "Her books are awesome!" have you ever read manga before? I suggest you pick up a volume of Bleach and look at how they draw. Or Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. Or Neon Genesis Evangelion. Or maybe even Naruto.
