Lightning fast updates. Verbal confirmation of updates and any viruses found. Will offer a boot scan if any viruses are detected in memory
Fussy, complicated interface, weirdly based on a DVD player. Marked tendency to find viruses where there aren't any. Need to re-license every year is irritating for me personally.
Does the job pretty much and very fast updates are refreshing, but about 6 false alarms in about a fortnight was too much, especially when after pouncing it then scanned the whole hard disk on the next boot and found... nothing. Housecall also found nothing. Life is too short to rescan your hard disk every other day.
Even the simple interface is far too complicated for anyone other than an advanced user. If you want an easy set it and forget it virus checker, consider AVG although that has been known to fail to detect some viruses. I do not recommend Avast Anti Virus.
