Back lit. The system was way ahead of it's time with 16 bit games on a hand held system back in 1991. Sega joystick, controller hookup and av out to hook up to a tv so its a small genisis. Plays the 100's of Genesis games that can be found now for $1 to $5
It's Bigger than The Game boy and G.B.A.
The Sega Nomad was and is still a very good hand held game system. Nintendo might of just caught up with the G.B.A. but its more than 10 years after the Nomad was out. The Nomad is backlit, has video out to tv hookups, A hookup for controller 2, So two people can play on one Nomad or hook it up to a Tv so its a full size Genesis. The Grapics were and still are amazing and the Genesis games it plays are just as good as the G.B.A. games but can be found for $1 to $5, unlike the G.B.A. games. The screen size and Color is much better then the G.B.A. too. Even after 12 years the Nomad is still amazing and will cost you a lot less than a G.B.A.
