Good Points

Great fun, quite rare really, canvas, triple hood-layer you'd think you were driving a hard-top, no leaks, no problems so far, simple to work on all areas easily accessable, realibility. Reasonably economical; running around locally about 30mpg.

Bad Points

None really..but the toad alarm's a bit sensitive, often goes off when certain HGVs rock it into life when parked....quickly resets.

General Comments

1994 silver Avantgarde, standard except it's lowered and has Oz racing alloys, A very pretty car, great fun, electric hood down/up in a few seconds. An easily looked after simple, basic piece of machinery.
My first venture into a convertable for many years. I'm 55 (male) I think my last convertable was a red K reg. (1972?) 2.0L TC Alfa spider in the early 80s, which used to fill up with rain in the footwells..hood great though, manual, down/up in seconds from the driver seat; also very fast and pretty. A few MGB's and Midgets and like before that. Just as well have a car that's fun!
Might get a newer VW cab; don't want to go back to a hard top for a while.
