Used to be reliable and never had any problems with them, although my 8mb connection never got over 400-500k/s download even tho I'm in the centre of town.
Well pretty much everything now, random disconnects, as has been mentioned by others their website is very broken, support calls take an age and offer little by the way of support. Generally poor service now in my opinion.
Pretty much since they changed their backbone to tiscali as far as I am aware, is when the major flood of problems have snowballed in my experience. As of today 17/04/08 I have limited connection to the net, a few things work I can access most websites but my connection to xfire, steam, wow, and many other things just ends in timeouts, I was actually online when I lost connection to wow, and have been unable to repair the winsock, tcp/ip have tried from several other computers in my flat, all to no avail. I decided to migrate last month and the changeover date was set for 01/04, I got my MAC code off of pipex easily enough but they are seemingly dragging their feet somewhat, most disappointed, and the final nail in their coffin in my eyes was a random £90 charge in march that has yet to be explained, and their web support is poor in my opinion therefore I do not recommend Pipex.net
