Good Points

Very sharp images with good sharpness, contrast and color. Provides a FAST f2.8 aperture at all focal lengths. Well built and comes with a very nice belt case that is green canvas and is semi hard with harder cushioned top and bottom. Sold with a flower shaped "Perfect Hood" and facilities the use of polarizing and other type filters.

Bad Points

The Filter size is a very expensive 82mm even though the actual front lens is about 58 to 60mm. It's heavier than most lenses but it is built well. Focusing motor is somewhat noisy but good for a lens of this price.

General Comments

The Sigma 24-70 @f2.8 is not inexpensive but it is near perfect in many ways. The 24-70mm is a very good focal range. Used with my Fuji S2Pro it is the 35mm Equivalent to 36mm to 105mm. The constant f2.8 is great in low light situations where I need it for focusing, DOF or just to keep from zooming and underexposing my image. The motor is not completely quite but it is fast and accurate. I think it may be a mix of alloy and plastic. It surely does not feel like the cheaper all plastic lenses I have used before. It is a heavy lens but very well made and does a great job for me. This lens is often the only lens I use and is mounted on my camera most of the time.
