Terrible customer service - have no idea what is going on!
Just read other reviews and we all seem to be having the same problem. I booked a 2 week holiday to Mexico in Jan via the Thomson website. I paid a deposit and received an email saying the balance would be due at the end of March. I expected an invoice in the post but nothing came so I phoned them in March to ask what to do. They said they would send me an invoice, but nothing came again!!!
Then a week after the balance was due I received 3 letters on the same morning. 1 was a late payment reminder and 2 were identical letters printed on 1st April (received 5th April) saying that unless they received my balance by 4pm on 1st April (4 days before I got their letters) they would cancel my holiday!! I phoned them up and after kicking off for 10 mins eventually had to force the call centre to take my payment of nearly £2500 over the phone from my debit card. Owing to all the hassle I asked the chap I spoke to for his surname, just for my records, but he point blank refused to tell me his name 'owing to company policy'. Then refused to tell me any names of any staff at Thomson. I only asked this in case my payment was not recorded and when I pay a stranger £2500 it is reasonable for them to tell me their name I think. That was 10 days ago and I've still not received any receipt for this payment (have been told it was posted 8 days ago but the post is not that bad). In fact, other than receiving 3 threatening letters on the same day I have paid out £2500 and not received a single invoice, receipt or anything positive from Thomson. Just hoping that I will receive my tickets before our holiday next month, but who knows! Getting info out of Thomson is like getting blood out of a stone. Won't be using this company again - ever.
