good power; affordable; great entry level airgun

General Comments

The RWS model 94 .177 is a must-have for the beginning airgunner! What a great way to introduce somebody to the sport.

I purchased mine, a demo from Airgun Express, and equipped it with my Beeman Blue Ribbon 2x7 power scope. All in all I'm very pleased with the setup... I've taken many birds and also got my first rabbit and western gray squirrel with this rifle (very tasty when done properly).

I use the 94 primarily for target shooting in my uncle's 20-yard indoor range (custom built in the attic!). I went through a pellet sampler and shot groupings of about 1/2" with the Beeman Ram Jet, 9.8 gr at approximately 830 fps, and the Beeman Crow Magnum, approximately 850 fps. Many of the lighter pellets were traveling 950+ fps but did not group well. I have a list of about 30 different pellets with their weights, velocities, and a description of my particular success or lack therefor if anyone cares to see it. I am generally pleased with the consistency although I've seen the power vary as much as 25 fps from one shot to the next.

I've really enjoyed the 94... however, I'm looking to sell it so I can upgrade in the near future... any ideas on where to post an ad?
