Sound is truly amazing. I think anyone would struggle to find a more detailed and enthusiastic cd player at this price. The sound is urgent yet precise. Its a pleasure to listen too no matter what your mood.
Its sounds great....when it is working. Some days it just refuses to recognise discs, even new discs. So much so that after about 18 months I am looking for a new (NON NAD) CD player. Which is a real shame, because it sounds great. If it was reliable id give it 10/10. But alas I think a 6002, or even the (gulp) CD05 from Richie beckons :(
NAD C521BEE Review - If you can put up with trying disc after disc, switching the damn thing on and off for half an hour at a time to get it to recognise discs you will (eventually) be rewarded by a truly wonderful sound. I love this CD player, I just don't have the patience for it!
