Good Points

More features than any other similar device in its price range. Key features for me.....
1. ability to record my professors lectures
2. Battery life is great, I not only use it while going from class to class and to record lectures, I use it in my car with an adapter to allow me to use in on the car stereo system( I drive 38 miles each way to school a day, I average about 1000 miles a week) and with all the uses I have for it, I average 3-4 days before having to charge it.
3. The USB storage device capability, I don't use quite as much anymore, but at one time it was my main portable device for data as well.
4. Video, I can share funny vids with anyone anywhere

Bad Points

There is a serious problem though..
A PC will only be able to recognize it if a newer version of Windows Media Player is installed.. But the USB storage device mode will still be recognized on all machines with a generic USB storage device driver. I wish they offered a generic device driver for the player itself so I could keep it on the USB storage device mode for quick installation on machines with an older version of WMP

General Comments

As far as general comments on the Creative ZEN V Plus, I seriously do not understand some peoples problems. My only quirk is it not being recognized on any machine unless it has a newer version of WMP installed. As far as battery life, I use it daily at least a 3-6 hours a day and only have to charge every 3-4 days. And to address someone saying it won't last out a year. I've had mine almost 2 years now without any major problems, the only problem I ever had was when I plugged it into a shorted out USB port. I thought it fried it but it has a mechanism to safe guard against that I guess. All I had to do was hit the little pinhole reset button, recharge it and reformat it.
