Good Points

Unit seems to Record DVD fine..have only dubbed vhs from a separate vcr machine to a DVD-R disc..using vcr cable input and both machines on channel 3, OTR mode.Book does not tell you you must Initilize DVD-R in Video mode , it seemed to default to VR mode if you did not select video in set up menu..and finalize after recording complete


Bad Points

Book was very lacking in instruction. I basically had to just keep trying and wasting a half dozen blank DVD-R to figure out what I had to do..had no success trying to set timer,as I paid about 400 for this back in 2004, could not return..was a gift to my sister who got frustrated with it and dumped it back on me.


General Comments

Sansui VRDVD4005 Review - There surely must be more user friendly units available out there these days but it does do what we had basically intended it for..find frequently these days with many products that instructions are inadequate...
