yes Dylan's recommendation

Good Points

Great finish, well made, great optics, Dead On

Bad Points

Does not come with rings, but 98% of scopes dont either, so no big deal.

General Comments

I own two 2-9x32 and one 3-12x44 air rifle scopes and they are both really nice, crisp clear glare free, the cross hairs are easy to see and dont get all blury like cheap scopes, These are nitrogen filled, waterproof, shock proof, and fog proof. they also have adjustable objectives. Windage and elevation adjustments are easily made by hand, comes with protective storage covers.

These are a must for spring magnum air rifles due to their shock a recoil. regular gun scopes and pneumatic air rifle scopes will break if used on a magnum spring air rifle.

BSA's fixed 4x32 scope comes standard on most Gamo models.

These can be used on any air rifle with a 3/8'' dovetail mount, and these will be dead on at any range!

Also most people know but some might not know that you need to buy mounting rings, they are not supplied.

Can you tell me where I can buy a bsa scope other than online? I checked walmart and the only half decent scope they have there is a cheap daisy powerline 3-9x32 and I can't get it sighted in at all. Thanks

The only places that I know that sell the BSA air rifle scopes other than online stores, are Gander Mountain, and Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World. Im sure that Gun shops might have them and or they can order them for you, hope that helps.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm still not sure If I should get the bsa 2-9x32 scope though, its the one I want but I'm afraid when I buy it I won't be able to sight it in. I wasted 30 dollars on a rubbish daisy 3-9x32 scope and I'm not able to sight it in. Other people have had the same problem http://www.reviewcentre.com/review78614.html
I have the Gamo shadow 1000. Some have said that
adjustable mounts would slove my problem but they cost almost as much as the scope it self. So do you think the bsa scope will work on my gun without special mounts?

  5. Dylan Rank: Staff Sergeant on 28th Feb 2004

Yes dont worry about the bsa scope, the daisys are junk. youll have no problem nailing targets with a bsa at 50 yards+. Just make sure its the bsa air rifle scope and not a bsa gun scope. Wal mart does not sell the bsa air rifle scopes.

Steven- if your around the chicago area, go to Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, in Gurnee IL at Gurnee Mills Mall, its on its along side 94 about 5 mins south of the Wisconsin Border, just go 94 North and you cant miss it. I used to live near there and thats a great place to buy anything guns or outdoor related stuff, they sell the bsa air scopes in stock, plus any accessoriess that u might need. + u might be able to test it before u buy to see which model scope works for you. Also try Gander Mountain in Geneva IL on Randal Road, take 90 west to Randal Rd and turn left on Randal Its about 15-20mi down. They have even more guns and accessories than outdoor world, Both are great places to shop, hope that helps

I just bought a BSA air rifle scope for my Beeman and it is a piece of rubbish. From 60 feet away it will consistantly group shots withing a 8 inch circle.....hardly accurate. I'm sending mine back. Only problem is I'm out of the 9.00 shipping and handling and my shipping cost to return and my time.

LOL @ Sysco, I bought a Simmons Pro Air 6-18X40 ($148) from Mid America USA, listed for $179 I think. Is a great scope on proper mounts. I liked it so well I bought a second one for my other air rifle.

Its kinda tough to find good scopes for these air rifles I noticed. The best (and only) deal I could find for the 6-18x40 I wanted was Simmons. That magnification will spoil you! with my Weihrauch HW 97 K you can clearly see and hit smaller then dime size bulls eyes at 40 yards (with a modified bench rest) every time!

I guess the moral of this story is, if you never had one you dont know what your missing, and what you do have will seem like the best if it was an upgrade from a cheaper scope you had before? So maybe he does believe this is the best scope? at least it works for him but and was bad for you? so all comes out in the wash except of course your $9.00 lol. I know the feeling. Regards Brian

The BSA Scopes I see at Walmart are not Air Rifle rated. Make sure it is 4x32AO 3X9 32AO. It's GOT TO HAVE AO Prefix for the Shock rating. I got the BSA 4x32AO on a Shadow 1000, after 1000+ rounds it's still working well.

  10. Sharpshooter Delta 9 Rank: Corporal on 6th Jun 2005

    Dougg,
The AO prefix you mentioned, indicates that it's front (Objective) lens is adjustable for parallax, (Adjustable Objective). It doesn't have anything to do with the optic's shock rating.

  11. grackle sniper Rank: Corporal on 26th Jan 2006

Yes Ao refers to Adjustable Objective. I believe you are referring to AR which would mean air rifle.
