General Comments
We chose to purchase our 32 Samsung LCD television from www.dixons.co.uk due to the attractive price (around £80 cheaper than rival companies), but my husband was very sceptic and sure enough he was proved right!! We paid £9.00 for premium delivery which meant it supposed to arrive on a specific day between 8am and 10.30am.....2 days later, we are still waiting for delivery! Their courier www.businesspost.com have, in their words, "LOST", the parcel somewhere between Nottingham and Stockport!!! I realise this problem is out of Dixons hands but on reporting this to them, they didn't offer an apology or even any assurance that they would deal with the problem sufficiently and their customer service was just awful! Telephone manners of more than one advisor (as there have been more than about 8 phone calls!!) left a lot to be desired and the only conclusion we have is to wait for another television to be shipped out...only after authorisation from Dixons Head Office, which could take a few days and cannot be speeded up blah blah blah! Oh, and they took the money from my account on the day I BOUGHT the tv, which happens to be over a week ago.
