1. Licensed by Walther under Crossman & Umarex which makes it part of an actual collection by a reputable gun maker.
2. Is very close to the original in spec. (plastic grip frames, metal slide/frame & parts) and weight with several exceptions (in order to keep costs low).
3. The mechanics of firing are basically as real as you can expect from a co2 pistol under 100 bucks.
1. Lacks certain design features that would improve it greatly.
- Grip is too long (in order to accommodate co2).
- Muzzle is made of plastic instead of aluminum.
- Co2 cartridge doesn't always fit easily.
- Safety is not original (to accommodate co2 valve)
- Piercing Knob is big and ugly (but a traditional co2 style).
- Blow-back feature eats lots of co2 (which makes it about half as powerful as it could be).
This is a replica of a historic pistol still widely used today. I think the original design has been around since before 1930. When you look at it it says "classic German design" , it says "compact simplicity" , it says " old school 007".
However, If you want a co2 pistol for accuracy and power, well look for something else newer, because you won't be pleased. If you want a good replica of an original design that can launch a BB into a tin can then you may be satisfied.
