- As far as I am aware they have not yet sent me a "notification e-mail" for monthly download limit, which they promised to do in their contract. They just charged me without it as far as I am aware.
- I gave them 30 days notice for cancellation of telephone and broadband. (It's the standard notice period) But they canceled my telephone within 24 hours after the termination notice and said they can't re-do because it's been deactivated.
- It's not always on. Frequently encountered "busy" - no internet, especially late evening.
I have been with Bulldog last 2 years and I frequently encountered that I can't go online especially it seems at "busy time" such as late evening.
Then soon I realised I was charged extra because my monthly download limit (1G) was exceeded however I have never been warned despite they promised in the contract that they would send two notification e-mail when the limit is nearly exceeded and after the limit is exceeded. This happened twice recently so I decided to say good-bye to Bulldog.
I spoke with customer service and was told I need to give them 30 days notice, which is fine by me. Then I arranged other ISP and all sorted, then I phoned to Bulldog to give 30 days notice. I double checked with customer agent that my Bulldog telephone and broadband service would be available next 30 days until this cancellation is completed. Next day, I just realised my phone line was dead. I contacted Bulldog again and they told me somebody at customer service canceled yesterday and canceled my telephone straight away. And since the Bulldog telephone account is closed already, they said they can't do anything. They can't re-activate the phone line once it's deactivated. Funny thing is, I had noted the name of the person to whom I gave a 30 days notice (she said my telephone and broadband will be available until 8 May 2008) and I mentioned it to them but they said they have offices in different locations and couldn't locate that particular person as far as I am concerned.
I hope they won't charge me the bill for the next 30 days, which I am not sure about...
Anyway, I will never recommend Bulldog and I would like to warn everybody who is currently with Bulldog that I had difficulty leaving them so be careful.
