Ive just sold of my first car - Citroen AX GT litre. so I thought i'd pay homage to the little beast here. My opinion is that due to its light body weight and close ratio box it is one of the quickest 1 litres ever! drove it hard for 2 1/2 years round shropshire country roads from 7000-40,000 miles and loved it. I could rant on all day about a car that is comparitively pretty rubbish but here goes. Top speed down a big hill from Glossop to manchester 112mph, ran out of room on the clock. good brakes though when anchored up hard the back feels a bit distant and tends to wave around. wack into a corner and the back will eventually kick out but when it does its not violent or unpredictable- I found it quite easy to manage. although it may feel like your driving a bread van and its always a laugh suprising people by the AX's general nippyness!
