Good Points

Vastly improved ride quality. Excellent road holding with predictable and safe breakaway at limit. Low to medium noise levels. Fair wear levels.


Bad Points

Low to medium noise levels. Ultimate limit of adhesion not quite as good as Pirelli.


General Comments

Having tried Goodyears, Pirelli and Bridgestones on my Audi S3 Quattro turbo I have found the Avons to be far better than expected. Ultimate limits of adhesion were not quite as good as Pirelli, but ride was much better as is wear life and predictable breakaway point.
The Bridgestones offered no better grip but had a vastly inferior wear life.
The Goodyears had not quite the grip levels, much poorer ride quality and noise level. I also found on my Audi A8 Quattro that the Goodyears it came with lost there grip at the limit in a very much less safe and predictable way.
As a whole I would put the Avons 1st, the Pirreli a close 2nd, the Bridgestones 3rd and the Goodyears a firm last.
