Spacious, plenty of light, the 2 room design is far more useful than you might think at first. The shape of the tent makes it surprisingly quick and easy to erect, much faster than the large domes like the Hartington or the Vango Diabolo but also very stable even in strong cross winds. The optional carpet makes it much cosier in cold weather as well as more comfortable for bare feet.
The tent has a guarantee, you might need it.
The tent leaked and leaked badly. I don't just mean drips, I mean flowing, like from a tap, puddles all around, too many for the bucket and saucepans we had taken with us to catch.
OK, we had heavy rain but you could see the seams were not sewn correctly in a lot of places. The inner sleeping areas do not have waterproof floors to them which would not have mattered if the tent had not leaked so badly. I was told by an assistant in a camping shop that there were a very large number of these tents returned last year for this reason.
Hopefully, Outwell have now fixed the problem, as it was a nice tent apart from the leaks and I really don't mean to put any one off buying the tent if it is fixed because the deign is otherwise good (OK, I have been put off the Vermont, but I had the bad experience, and I still do like Outwell tents).
Ours has been returned and we are getting an Outwell Norfolk Lake instead - very similar deign but polycotton and, hopefully , waterproof.
