WHAT A SUPERB HOTEL, VERY ELEGANT, ON FIRST ENTERING THE HOTEL ONE'S BREATH IS TAKEN AWAY BY THE GLASS ATRIUM, WITH THE GLASS LIFTS THAT GOES FROM THE TOP OF THE HOTEL DOWN TO THE BASEMENT CARPARKS, THE RECEPTION AREA AND LOBBY BAR ARE FILLED WITH AMAZING WORKS OF ART, FROM SCULPTURES TO GLASS CLOCKS THAT RUN BY PERPETUAL MOTION, ALL THIS OPENS ONTO A HUGE SPLIT LEVEL TERRACE OVERLOOKING THE LOUGH ATILLIA, WHERE HELICOPTERS LANDED TO BRING GUESTS AND STAFF BACK AND TO.THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD AND THEY CANNOT DO ENOUGH FOR YOU, THE RESTAURANT IS LOVELY BEING FINISHED IN A SWEDISH STYLE, WITH A FEATURE WINE CELLAR ALL IN GLASS WHERE THE TEMPERATURES ARE SET FOR THE RELEVANT WINES.THE FOOD IS OF A VERY HIGH STANDARD. THE HOTEL BOASTS A MINIATURE GOLF COURSE ON SITE AND A VERY WELL EQUIPED GYM AND POOL WITH A STEAM ROOM, THE ROOMS ARE THEMED AND VERY GENEROUS IN SIZE WITH GOOD VEIWS,VERY COMFORTABLE BEDS AND AN ENTERTAINMENT STATION THAT HOLDS EVERYTHING FROM THE T.V, THE MINI SAFE,MINI BAR,TEA MAKING FACILITIES. GALWAY IS A GREAT BASE VERY COSMOPOLITAN,LOTS TO SEE AND DO, INCLUDING GREAT BARS AND EATERIES, AND IF YOU HAVE GOT THE TIME GO FOR A BOAT TRIP TO THE ARAN ISLES AND TRIP ON THE CONNAMARA GREEN BUS AND LISTEN TO HUGH TAKE YOU ON A TRIP BACK IN TIME
Bad Points
THE ONLY BAD POINT I CAN THINK OF IS THE FACT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE CAR PARK BECAUSE IT DOES NOT BELONG TO THE HOTEL.ALTHOUGH THE CARPARK IS HALF PRICE TO HOTEL RESIDENTS AND HAS SECURITY ALL NIGHT LONG, THIS IS NOT TO GIVE THE IMPRESSION THAT YOU NEED IT IN GALWAY

WE STAYED AT 4 HOTELS ON OUR HOLIDAY THIS YEAR AND THIS WAS RATED AMONGST THE BEST WE HAVE EVER STAYED AT.
