Absolutely best small dog I have ever owned good on recall, lead and fantastic at never listening or doing as they are told they can hold a conversation very well and love (hum) cat`s well mine do good pets or worker`s best to give them a bit of both .
very loyal and defiantly good feet warmer`s and so very easy to train
There very brave if that count`s (giggle giggle) love getting stuck down hole`s
I have had many different breed`s over my year`s from little dog`s to the real big one`s and up until i meet my Stanley i had never heard of patterdale`s . we had at the time a working springer and my son use to work him . with him getting old we made the decision to get another for him to work we didn't want another big dog . then we where told to get a patterdale .
well we feel head over heals at 8 week`s he was fetching and has worked so well for my son . sadly at Christmas 2006 we had our springer put down due to his heath so we went looking again and yes we got another patterdale little mystery she is fantastic .
very bright and on the ball .
would i recommend getting a patterdale then yes just make sure you have the time to train and care for these dog`s they are best young if you have very young children but the same goes with any breed . super little dog`s
