Everything!! We arrived and the car park was empty. We used the preferred parking car park which cost an extra £6 but was well worth it when lunchtime came. It is worth pre booking tickets and printing them because you can whizz through the turnstiles. The best thing we did all day was invest £10 in a 'Q Bot'. This device gives you a pre booked time to arrive at the rides and lets you go to the front of most of the queue's. This meant we went on every ride in the park. We went on the viking splash 3 times!! The time of year had a lot to do with it and I'm sure it will be different in August.
Cost of the food is very high and meant we took a packed lunch and ate it in the car. The queues were quite big without the 'Q Bot'.
Top Tips.
1. Buy tickets online and print at home.
2. Try and go in the off season, March/April is ideal.
3. Take a good pack lunch and leave it in the car, carry snacks and drinks in a small daysack.
4. Try and arrive before 0945 and get to the barriers early.
5. Go to guest services once inside and get lost stickers for the kids for piece of mind for you. Then go and RENT A Q BOT.
6. Park in preferred parking, the £6 is well worth it because of proximity to front gate.
7. Wear good walking shoes, things are quite spread out.
8. Take waterproofs for the wet rides because you will get soaked.
9. Take spare batteries for camera's, ours was never turned off!!!!
10. Plan your day to maximize the rides but the Q Bot will do that for you.
