Excellent Book. Will give a wide perspective of the Jesus of the Bible. The Bible gives the biography of Jesus and some background information. But it is Yancey who puts it in the proper perspective to give the readers an insight into the greatness of Jesus. For Instance the Jews believed that all those who were diseased were sinners, but Jesus was a friend of Sinners. Jews kept 6 feet away from leprosy patients and lepers had to live outside the town walls. Yet Jesus touched Lepers many times. Read it in the book. Excellent book.

It is a very lengthy book. But don't worry, the book is a real page turner. Once you start with it, you won't want to put it down.
But the book is also very heavy on the soul. So some people might want to read it a few pages a day.

Excellent Book. We are lucky to get it here in India.
Purchase it at the first chance you get. Believe me, you won't regret it.
