Good Points

Good food (seafood salad very good) well presented although a bit pricey. Varied menu. Good French and English cheese board. Nice wine selection and casks beers. Staff helpful and pleasant. Outside seating with good views of the sea, ample parking. Seating inside has some windows seats with views.


Bad Points

Inside seats (dining area) are not comfortable. Having to queue for drinks at the bar, as the waiter does not take drink orders with the food at the table. However you can put your drinks on a credit tab to go on you final bill with the food.


General Comments

We have visited the Coastguard in Dover some four/five times over the last 10 months. They do not supply an itemised bill only a carbon copy of your food order, any drinks you have had are not shown. On the last occasion the copy showed £67, when I queried this, it was recalculated as £58, a brief apology was given. Mobile phone users be aware as the signal you receive is from France so if you make a call it goes out to there first then back to the UK.
