Good Points
Flexible seats, cheap 2nd hand parts.
Bad Points
expensive to run, flimsy build quality of interior, gammy electrics, wears tyres quickly.
General Comments
I bought a new 02 Vauxhall Zafira comfort, after about 2 and half years the gearbox went (hairline crack which caused gearbox oil to leak, probably there from new, but not covered as guarantee was run out, had to replace with 2nd hand unit), the internal lights kept going on and staying on, fixed by main dealer, fuel consumption of this car is crazy!
the ABS light came on, took to main dealer, he replaced wheel sensor, then told me there might be another problem that caused it, but it would probably be OK, 12 months later the ABS light is on again!
Overall I am thoroughly disappointed by this car, i bought a seat alhambra 1.9tdi a couple of years ago as our 2nd car, it has huge mileage and i got it very cheap, it is far superior in every department to the annoying Zafira, we are now trading in the Zafira for an Alhambra or Sharan, they cost more, but with lower running costs and better reliability and more space its a much better buy!
