Good Points

El Paso is a spacious hotel, you certainly don't feel hemmed in or crowded here. The staff in the kids club are the best I have ever encountered on a holiday. I wanted to hire one of them myself. The kids didn't want to leave them at the end of the week.


Bad Points

Sadly there are a few. The food had potential but the hot buffet selection was always cold. The pool was shut as it was Easter (March) but the hotel management refused to put out the sun loungers. In the other two hotels they were out. The singing rocks can also ruin your holiday if not careful, from 10 in the morning until 10 at night they spew out Spanish songs and this goes on in the restaurant too. We asked for them to be turned down only but this was refused', we weren't the only people to complain and the rep said that they have raised this issue many times.


General Comments

We have been to Port Aventura three times and to be honest the jury is still out on this hotel. I think I can only basis my rating on whether or not I would recommend to close friends and if I am honest, no. On the basis of the food, which is such a big part of most people's holiday, I lost over half a stone as I ate so little. On reflection this seems a little unfair as there were so many good things and the hotel was beautiful. But it only had the potential to be excellent, such a shame, hope they sort it out.
