They used to be quite good, maybe that will happen again one day!
In the past 2yrs or so, Abbey have moved their call centres abroad and changed their systems. Since then, I feel they have went downhill - very fast!
I am in the process of finding another bank after 12yrs with Abbey. Over the last year they have:
Given only 4 days notice that they are taking a charge from account leaving me £70 worse off. (The advisor in the banking centres cannot always see pending charges, and letters are not always sent advising you that you have been charged!)
They informed me that they will refund the charge - and then never!
They have ignored questions on my complaint letters, only answering the easy ones!
I have waited up to an hour in queues to speak to an advisor.
The internet banking and telephone banking are never available when you need them.
Staff in branches will not help unless they can sell you a product.
The list is endless, this bank are useless and i wouldn't recommend them to anyone!
