Good Points

Absolutely loved everything about this whole holiday, we stayed in the holiday inn, which was fabulous, the setting of the hotel was perfect, handy to the shops, waterfront, beaches etc and the markets. The staff in the hotel were lovely, all seemed to be young students, their English was impeccable and their manners were out of this world, they made a genuine effort to get to know you personally as a guest. The food in the hotel was delicious and of reasonable price.

I found it felt like one of the safest places with all the security and police around.

Bad Points

We found that a few taxis, which we hailed of the street tended to take the "scenic route" anywhere but certainly never had any problems with cabs called by the hotel.

General Comments

Victoria and Alfred waterfront is beautiful, a real celeb spotting place to be, we seen Kelly Osbourne, Morgan Freeman and Samuel l Jackson, the were not being harassed by people which we thought was amazing. I took a cab to the rotunda junctions shopping centre and spent a day in heaven in fact it was so good and so large, I had to go back a 2nd day. my husband went to the water and wildlife park near rotunda and had a fabulous day,the animals were funny and the rides were all amazing.
We went to Robin island on the day trip, I really think it is a must, its so humbling to actually listen to the tour reps (ex prisoners), you could actually feel the misery that was encased in side this small island. A trip to the table mountain is worthwhile the cable car is amazing you can see for miles. We took a night cruise at sunset which was breathtaking, though I would recommend a light supper as it was choppy out (we were then end of march). The Penguins day trips are so worthwhile, hilariously funny. I can recommend at least one day spent on a wine trip and a to finish a drive down the garden route, its how I imagine the road to heaven will look.

The sea food is delicious, the portions are huge and the wine is just fantastic, if I could send everybody I knew, I would. It is the best holiday I have been on, and definitely fantastic fun for all the family.
