Extra Legroom seats in Row 20 exceptional.
LGW - HOG in Cuba. Out on Mar 6th on a 767 and a little apprehensive as it was a late booking and all the extra legroom and premium seats had been allocated (or so FCA reps told me when I enquired).
However a 0630 check in at First Choice's 'Any Flight today check in desk' enabled the question to be asked again and 2 extra legroom seats to be found without problem.
Row 11 (C&D) was where we were put and these are right next to the boarding door and also the toilets (great if you have a bladder problem!, not so if you want a queue near you after dinner and pre landing). However there are no views out of any windows as this is a centre set of 3 seats only. One benefit is that to enable the premium passengers to disembark you will be moved off the plane first (well we were). This meant that no queueing at the immigration or custom booths. On time departure and landing with adequate food and half decent entertainment. Return flight two weeks later and allocated row 20 (F&G). Again these were extra legroom and a couple of seats on their own. Much better than Row 11, with even more leg room. If you do get the choice of Row 11 and Row 20 on a 767 then plump for Row 20. You won't be off the plane as quick, nor bothered by the toilet queue but you will have even more room. A bit of a free for all at the gate at Holguin, but then thats not FC's fault. Slightly late leaving but a rather brisk tail wind ensured arrival some 30mins early.
All in all a relaxing flight at either end of the holiday.
