General Comments

I had the GMC Safari just over two years and was so glad to get rid of it. I took half what I paid for it on a trade,$15,000. Very sad. I was treated so badly by GMC and the dealer I bought my first ever import at the age of 45 and 11 domestic cars.

I have a 1997 GMC Safari and it is the worst piece of rubbish that I have ever owned. I bought it for $2500 with 22,6000kms and have now spent over $8000 on repairs and can't afford to get rid of it. I only put 37000kms (20000 miles) on it, and I will not take it out of town. I have replaced the alternator, water pump, power steering pump/brake booster, universal joints, all four shocks, ignition switch, stereo, wiper motor, motor mounts, the plugs, wires and cap/rotor were just about impossible, coil, and the brakes on all four wheels.
