Good Points

Large clear screen, that's about it.


Bad Points

Impossible to hold with cold hands as the steel casing is so smooth, but also attracts greasy finger prints!
Even short-cut menus don't seem to be true "short-cuts"
Restricted memory for text messages etc, have to repeatedly move stuff to memory card to make space


General Comments

Having had Sony Ericssons and Samsungs previously I read reviews about the Nokia 6300 when time came to upgrade and they all seemed pretty positive. Well I'm sorry, i don't agree. The battery life doesn't compare with my old SE 810i even when it was a year old!

The phone memory isn't big enough to hold much more than 20 SMS (which means incoming messages are held up if you don't have space in your phone memory to receive them)

I don't find the music player particularly user friendly compared with the SE as any downloaded message tones seem to keep appearing in the play list - which is great if you want your tunes interspersed with random horse-whinneying and wacky message alerts but not so if you're playing music for the entertainment of others!

Ringtones don't appear to be as loud either and I've missed no end of phone calls because I've just not heard the phone ringing.

I won't be keeping the Nokia, I've given it a fair crack of the whip - I've had it since October and thought I would get used to it but after 6 months I'm still finding little niggles with it. Even the camera on the SE was better than this and they're both 2MP.
