promised many things but did not deliver
I am a new starter and approached Alliance & Leicester for a bank account.
I wanted a £20K loan and a £5K overdraft facility.
Since applying I have called every 2 days to get a status on my application. I was told constantly that it was at the underwriters and waiting for a response.
My business started today, 3 weeks after applying. I was promised people would get back to me once they had made a decision. No one has.
I called them today to find out they had sent me a letter asking for 3 months bank statements and 2 year financial records. Please tell me how since I am a new starter and they know this.
I spoke to a lending manager who said, I should have been told on day 1 that I could only get £10K for new starters and to wait for 3 weeks was unnecessary.
So the short of this is that I am left without a bank account because I was always told we are looking at it and they could have told me a result in 1 day.
My business is left unprotected and I am furious.
