Nice and quiet until the main spin kicks in.
Washes clothes well and certainly spins them very dry!
Very noisy when in final full spin.
Drying time takes for ever.
Time for service engineer to come out very long.
I did a lot of research before getting this Hotpoint WD860 (obviously not enough)as I needed a very quiet machine so i could run it overnight, with a built in dryer as we live in a small semi with thin walls.
Sadly even though it is supposed to be Super silent we can't hear the telly in the next room when it goes into spin mode. Trying to talk to someone on the phone when you are in the same room is almost impossible!
On the Various sites even Hotpoint's, it doesn't fully explain the dryer, which in reality takes about 3 hours (based on two bath towels) and even on the cupboard dry setting they were still damp to the touch.
4 weeks after buying it, the drum suddenly couldn't spin. The display showed some code which was no-where in the manual. I rang hotpoint on the Friday and the earliest an engineer could come out was a week Monday...8-9 days without a washing machine....2 adults, 2 kids and a dog...yuch!!
So sad as Hotpoint used to have such a good reputation.
