So hard to work with.
Tried using Polycell SmoothOver to smooth over a bathroom ceiling 1.8 x 1.9 metres. Cleaned the ceiling first then coated with some PVA to promote adhesion. The original surface was the stippled effect but I had already reduced some of the larger 'lumps'. I applied the first coat, an absolute nightmare of a job, even with their 'special' tool getting a smooth finish was impossible. A second coat was applied by a plasterer, he couldn't believe how difficult it was to apply and the result was far from sooth. In the end I hit the ceiling with an orbital sander to flatten it. Summery, 50 quid to fill pattern and then the grief of having to sand half of it down, what an expensive waste of my time and money!
