General Comments
This Motorola A920 mobile phone is a Symbian based device (like the sony Ericcsson p800/p900), and as such it works ok. I have had it for about 2 months, and it has just broken. It refuses to come back to life after the screen goes black (screen saver). Given this fact, I have to say the reliability is pretty poor. Also, the phone drops calls roughly every 10 minutes, with frequent drop outs of words, resulting in many "Hello?...Hello?..." moments.
Hutchinson '3' are, without doubt, the biggest shower of useless beggers I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. If you are thinking of going to 3 - DON'T. THEY REALLY ARE AS BAD AS THE STORIES YOU HAVE BEEN HEARING. I heard bad reports but didn't quite believe them. They will go out of your way not to help you - for example, my mate has been unable to make calls for 3 months because they say he is over his credit limit!! They swear to ring you back, and never do. Useless.
The phone itself is quite nice, but too big. Outlook synching is nice, as is MP3 playback (128Kbit only) and the SD card slot to upgrade the memory. However, battery life is about a day, and you have to reset the phone every day in order to be sure of being able to make/receive calls.
The content availble on 3 ranges from useless to pathetic. The only feature of interest to me was the GPS function, where you click and it will find where you are. Needless to say, 3 UK have decided not to implement this feature. The downloadable videos are utterly pointless, (the 'comedy' section being spectacularly unfunny) as are the rest of the services offered.
Overall, a complete waste of time. PLease, PLEASE, dont give 3 your business unless you fancy having a huge, ugly phone, the worst network ever and laughable customer support. Stick to the 2.5G networks.
3 will be out of business soon anyway.

Unfortunatly, I have to agree with your comments totally. The Motorola A920 mobile phone has the potential when it works but the customer support is less than non existant. Why do these companys take their customer services to India, putting their buisness in the hands of egits who haven't got a clue what your trying to explain, all for the sake of saving a few quid, to up their profits at the expense of the customer. If they provided a decent service, the custom would come to them and their profits would not be affected, but they would rather give you an unreliable phone and not help you sort out the problems you have to pay for because your in the "12 Month Contract"...I could go on but its pointless.
