Solid phone, very good reception, battery life exceptional for 3G handset, camera surprisingly very good in optimal lighting, extremely speedy interface: never any lag no matter what you're doing (mp3, camera etc.), probably one of LG's better GSM tries
Bad Points
A bit bulky, user interface a little rough around the edges, 65k color, camera does not reorient itself upon spinning: you must click option reverse view every time, including when you're in a video call, only 1.8Mbps HSDPA
General Comments
I picked the LG TU500 phone up on a steal when it first became offered on Rogers Wireless in Canada. Canada only had two official 3G phones, the A706 (relatively common) and this. I thought I'd be different and snag the TU500. I was pleasantly surprised, even though the A706 is much sleeker and the camera is better. But as per my comments above, this has some secret powers, especially decent battery life which is usually a no-go on any 3G phone.
I have never had the phone crash, or had any distortion in calls, had a call drop, or anything of that sort. People love to complain about LG+GSM, but honestly, this thing is a surprisingly unheralded trooper.
Definitely recommended, even though it looks like it's from 2005!
