Monty is 16mnths old and the whole family love him, he is the first chocolate lab we have had. Loyal, excellent with people and other dogs. Well behaved in the house. He is bigger than we anticipated. When walked off lead he always at some point stands and watches us walk away he will not budge for anything human or animal, but never takes his eyes of us. A distance passes and he will come running straight to us but only when he thinks he will. We don't know why and we have tried everything to change this. Anybody got any answers. It looks sometimes to other people that he's very well trained!!!! A dog that brings a lot of pleasure.
