Good Points

First Plus were quick to sign us up when every responsible loan company was turning us down.


Bad Points

They have no concept of customer service and are oblivious of the Codes of Conduct. They harassed me even when I was trying to make payments. Their redemption figures are ridiculous in my opinion.


General Comments

I borrowed 53,000 from First Plus as a short term solution following a relationship break-up. The loan was brokered by Norton Finance. When I took out the loan I specified that I wanted the loan short term and did not want to pay huge penalties when we settled. When we missed a couple of payments we tried to make an arrangement pending the sale of the house. We had to reduce the sale price by 15,000 because they harassed me up to five times a day. I complained to the FLA. but First Plus blamed Norton Finance and Norton Finance ignore all your letters. I paid back more than 70,000 after less than 18 months and the level of intimidation was incredible.
