Good Points

Used to be great, friendly and efficient - not any more.


Bad Points

Numerous mistakes, lost their personal touch, charges are just too much. More emphasis seems to be on making their banks look good and having groovy adverts than actual customer services.


General Comments

I switched to Lloyds about 12 years ago because they had a good reputation and offered efficient, friendly services. However, mistake after mistake has just made me fed up and I'm switching to somewhere else. The final blow was a 'standard' letter regarding my gold account informing me that my charges were increasing. Was shocked as I pay no charges for this account as it is a Graduate account. When I rang, the first person was very dismissive, didn't understand what I was talking about and said it was MY mistake, must have misread the letter. Second person cut me off mid sentence and said 'fine go on then' when I said I'd bank elsewhere, The final person admitted that my graduate account was coming to an end so I would soon be eligible for charges and could not understand why the letter was a standard issue. I could ramble on about the mistakes - setting up a dd FROM an account with NO money in it rather than putting money in - then charging me for the unauthorised overdraft. Also used my debit card in Holland weeks ago and to date they have not debited my account!
