Good Points

Good Camera with Zoom facility, Phone size and weight, Screen size & Resolution, POP3 and IMAP Email. Build Quality.


Bad Points

Battery Life, Message Tone, Software is a bit slow, connectivity - cable only, no Bluetooth or Infra Red, Small buttons, Reception isn't Brilliant


General Comments

I am sorry to say that this review is not very favourable towards the Siemans ST55. I have just changed mine for a samsung E700, I found it to have a poor battery life - my main problem with the phone.
The Camera is very good - probably the main redeeming feature on the phone. The quality of the pictures is very respectable.
The size of the phone combined with the large screen is good, although it does mean that the size of the buttons suffers, however, they are angled slightly which makes them a little easier to cope with.
Apart from the battery life, which doesn't last 2 days of average use despite the figures claimed by Siemens, the other main problem is that it is only connectable to a PC via data cable. So no tranfer of data between other phone users.
I found the reception of the phone to be the poorest since I had a Nokia 8210.
I also found the software to be a bit slow, especially when searching for contacts.
Maybe I am being a little harsh on the phone but I would not recommend this phone now that the Samsung E700 has been released as it has equal if not better features.
