Dual-Core. Simple and Stylish, feels quite well made. Built in camera, semiportable, good mouse track pad with 4-way scroll pad. Good keyboard and display.
Weights a bit too much too be comfortable for everyday portable use. Battery life also mediocre (2-3h with min brightness and undervolted processor), so need to be near power outlet for long time use. Keyboard lacks numbpad, although there is seminumbpad by using funktion key plus numlock.
I bought Acer Aspire computer to write my master thesis. It had a good price/performance ratio. Mine was actually 5101, but I upgraded the processor to TL-50, effectively making it a 5102. There is a distinct usability difference between single core 2.0ghz compared to dual core 1.6ghz in the favor of dual core.
Back when it was single core it felt sluggish, now I prefer to use it more than my desktop computer. I also upgraded to windows vista and ram to 2gb. The computer feels very nice for everyday use.
