Good Points

Documents came through very quickly and 99% of the customer support people have been very helpful and efficient with the exception of one young chap who was a real impolite on the phone in their renewals department.

Bad Points

If you are an existing Post Office customer you can not renew or take out a new policy using confused.com on behalf of the Post Office. this was really annoying as the confused.com price for the PO was about £150.00 less than what the PO could offer me to renew my policy.GGGRRRhhh

General Comments

I have been with the Post office for about 3 years and do not mind paying over the top for their service. It s not all about getting a good deal on the repayments but for me it was far more important to deal with an established company who use British approved insurers, not like direct choice who use some outfit based in the Caribbean. Unfortunately I did have a problem renewing the insurance as I checked out Confused.com which is very good but their quote for the Post Office came out nearly 150.00 pound less than the best price the PO could offer, but being an existing PO customer you can not renew your car insurance with the post office through confused.com. What a load of old rubbish. I really wanted to stick with the Post Office but they obviously do not care about losing their loyal customers. I have been driving for 25 years and have never claimed for anything and my insurance is over 700.00 pounds a year. I think its outrageous the prices that these insurance companies dictate to their customers, for good drivers that do not claim and stay with their insurer the prices should go down not up!!! Now reluctantly I have had to try Directline so I am hoping that this one will work out okay

hi, its not just p/o that you cannot renew on-line, it is alot of insurance companies. simple reason to be honest, they do not want you to have the online discount. there is no such thing as a loyal customer either.

its the same with my renewal, always increases, as the likes of you & me, not claiming for donkeys years, the insurance industry have to make there money back from somewhere, for all the claims that are made, and uninsured drivers, as at the end of the day, they are there to make money, nothing else.
