Perhaps the bass is a little boomy at times, but this is of course seen only with source material that is very bass intensive.

The Energy Connoisseur C-5 are very well balanced sound with all musical styles. Not perfect, but very, very good. I have had my pair for over two years now without the slightest problem. I very much enjoy them and intend to keep them around for much longer.

The highs are very good without being painful and fatiguing even during extended listening sessions. The mid range may be a little bit soft, but this allows the speaker to remain balanced.

The bass is very good, sometimes I swear it can get down like a sub woofer! A very, very good speaker for those who don't have tons of money to invest. They do nothing poorly and many things very well. If you can get your hands on these speakers still, give them a good listen, they really are very deserving of your attention.
